With all the other risks like: heart health, digestive distress, cancer concern, respiratory risk, associated with dairy consumption, a healthy, alkalizing, inexpensive alternative is almond milk. Almond milk doesn’t cause problems with hormone levels like soy milk does. It can be used in place of regular milk in recipes and baking. It is easy to make and has a light taste. Here is recipe: 1 cup of raw almonds - soak overnight, 3 cups of filtered water vanilla (optional) honey (optional). Rinse the nuts. Mix almonds with pure water in a blender until smooth. Strain the mixture into a bowl through the nut-bag add vanilla, honey and stir it. Pour into a jar and store in refrigerator for up to one week. Note: Save almond pulp and dehydrate it, and then use the almond meal/flour for other recipes such as smoothies, crusts, cookies, nut butter, breadcrumbs etc You can also make a quick, easy body scrub.
